As a youth, I had always yearned to participate in youth initiatives and to maximize career development opportunities, and Global Youth Network for Empowerment and Development was a wise choice for me in actualizing my dreams and ambitions by volunteering with the Organisation GYNED has over the years contributed significantly to immensely impact my mindset and life in general, and I have acquired professional and other skills through the staff’s capacity building training and other project training sessions. I have also improved my personal experience and skills in leadership, teamwork, and time management. GYNED practice of gender inclusiveness and empowerment is unmatched.

I participated in the African Development Bank-funded Youth Entrepreneurship Development and Growth Project (YEDG), which was implemented in April 2021 by the Global Youth Network for Empowerment and Development. The training was extraordinary and absolutely superb, and I genuinely appreciated the opportunity and enjoyed each and every session of the training and moments with fellow trainees. The training manual content was extremely informative and incredibly useful. I had attended several similar trainings before but I can't recall any of them having such a strong impact on me and my business. There was a blend of great training approaches, methodologies, and presentation style and patterns, with lots of opportunities to actively participate, ask questions and share real-life experiences and examples that contributed to making the experience really impactful, transformative, enjoyable and informative. The knowledge acquired and experience gained significantly helped my business to grow rapidly, and my monthly goal was surpassed by over 50%. The entrepreneurship training manual given to me has brought a significant contribution to my business's target. Many thanks to Mr MKK, for his incredible passion, and great communication skills that helped everyone to feel belonged and to discover our innate hidden abilities and talents. I highly recommend GYNED for any youth development training and project opportunities.

It is evidently clear with no iota of doubt that Global Youth Network is the leading youth development organization in Sierra Leone, with a vivid demonstration of strong passion, commitment and dedication in working with and for youth transformation and development. Our organizations encounter with the leadership, management and entire team of this noble organization - GYNED since 2013 is incredible and fulfilling, as we were without proper leadership and administrative structure or operational systems in place, but since we met Global Youth Network, our organization is never the same, as GYN’s Executive Director supported the restructuring process and we became officially formal in 2015. There are a lot more to say about the unending goodies of Global Youth Network to our organization and many others in Sierra Leone.

I first met the Team Lead of Global Youth Network in 2020, àt a youth event we both facilitated. I was very extremely impressed by his presentation and demonstration of vast experience and genuine passion for youth transformation and development in Sierra Leone. We shared contacts and later visited their office together with my co-worker to share our organizations’ vision and activities with him, and to express interest in the partnership. He was very accommodating, encouraging and supportive right from the start, and since then GYN and ARMeD have had a great working relationship. GYN has involved us in some capacity-building training opportunities and projects implemented; including the UNDP-funded psychosocial support for youth slum dwellers etc. My overall experience with GYN as a person and on behalf of my team is great, inspiring, motivating, supportive and friendly.
