Mrs Beryl Emeneseh Thomasia Cummings- Abiri holds a BA, LLB (Hons), B.L, MBA, LL.M, and ACIArb. She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of the Republic of Sierra Leone, a Commissioner for Oaths, a Notary Public with over fifteen years of standing experience, and a Senior Partner in the law firm of Fornah-Sesay, Cummings, Showers & Co. (Chidera Chambers), which is recognized as one of the leading law firms in Sierra Leone and collaborates with Anderson Global – An International Association comprising tax and legal professionals worldwide since January 2010. She has a wealth of experience in elections law, land and property matters, family and probate matters, trade and employment disputes, company law and other related areas. She is also a Board Member of the Annie Walsh Memorial School since 2019,

An entrepreneur, and a senior partner of Zoe Pharmacy, which provides quality pharmaceutical care services for Insurance Companies, Non-Governmental Organizations, Parastatals, and other institutions. Her passion started in 2013 when she enrolled for the degree of master’s in business administration at the Institute of Public Administration and Management – IPAM. She did not only earn a postgraduate degree but put into practice some of the values she was taught.
She loves to pass on her knowledge of the law and business to others, which drives her to offer to lecture pro bono in the Department of Banking and Finance at IPAM, University of Sierra Leone, between 2016-2017, and She now lectures Legal and Regulatory Framework under the Short Course & Consultancy Unit, IPAM, and lectures at the LICSSAL Business College since 2016.
She had successfully gone through several training on the understanding of the basics of legal drafting by the government of Sierra Leone and the European Union, on the mandate and jurisdiction of the ECOWAS court by the Sierra Leone Bar Association, on “an insight into nursing and midwifery regulations in the UK and Sierra Leone” by L.A.W.Y.E.R.S. and project Umubano, on the prosecutions and circulation of obscene material. by Oliver Al-Falah, S&O partnership, in collaboration with L.A.W.Y.E.R.S, and on “women, business and the law.” by the World Bank group to name but a few.
Mrs Beryl Cummings-Abiri has authored several publications including, The Abuse of Intellectual Property Rights by A Dominant Undertaking in the Technology Industry, An Investigation of The European Courts Decisions on the Behaviors of Undertakings (2020), The Constitutionality of the Special Court vis-a-Vis The High Court of Sierra Leone (Dissertation: Fourah Bay College (2006), The History of the West African Methodist Church (Dissertation: Fourah Bay College) (2003), The Krios of Sierra Leone (Dissertation: Fourah Bay College) (2003).
Her hobbies are reading, watching TV, playing games and listening to gospel music. She is an Imperial Kabalai Award Winner for ‘Best Lawyer of the Year 2019’. She has been featured in several professional networks and has influential connections in the legal and education sectors in Sierra Leone. She is married to Dr Onome Thomas Abiri and has a lovely family.

Mr. Musa Ansumana Soko is a Development Consultant, public-interest campaigner, and social entrepreneur in Sierra Leone. He is the Executive Coordinator of the Youth Partnership for Peace and Development (YPPD), and as Chief Executive of the Water Sanitation and Hygiene Network (WASH-Net)
Mr Soko has held several other positions, including as a Command Center Supervisor at Advanced Converged Technologies in Sierra Leone, and also a member of the Executive Committee of the Civil Society Platform for Peacebuilding and State Building (CSPPS), and likewise the Executive Committee of the Platform for Collaboration on Peace and Security (PCPS) etc.
Mr Soko has led and managed several programs that aim at tackling the issues of gender-based and domestic violence within many Sierra Leonean communities. He has engaged in raising community awareness of the prevalence of domestic violence and its effects; trained community leaders in conflict resolution and mitigation; incorporated these topics into the educational curriculum; and provided clarity to the laws on domestic and gender-based violence to women.
He has several years of practical work experience and is very passionate and interested in expanding on youth development and livelihoods programs especially for women in order to increase their independence and economic freedom. Some of his other specialties’ includes Youth Development Advocate, Policy Advocacy and Campaigner, Strategic Planner, Social Media and Special Education Trainer, Women’s Rights Advocacy etc.

MKK has been invited multiple times to participate and speak at several international conferences including the Young Diplomatic Forum in London – United Kingdom, the Summer Youth Assembly and the ECOSOC Youth Forum at the United Nations Headquarters in New York – United States of America, the Spring Meetings of World Bank Group and the IMF in Washington DC – USA, and has also travelled for various functions and events to many other countries including France, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Portugal, Brazil, South Africa, Ghana, Senegal, Liberia, Guinea etc.
MKK has over the years established and maintained a sustainable and fulfilling strategic partnership and working relationship with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the National Youth Commission, the National Youth Council, and other relevant stakeholders within the youth sector, and has led the implementation of numerous youth development projects with funding support from the United Nations Development Programme – UNDP, UNFPA, the African Development Bank – ADB, GIZ, Comic Relief etc.
MKK has led the delivery of a series of consultancy services in diverse areas and also led several advocacy campaigns and engagements including the fight against irregular migration, youth entrepreneurship development and employment promotion, the establishment of the youth empowerment fund, the review of the national youth policy, and tobacco control to name but a few, and through his entrepreneurial endeavours and philanthropic initiatives, he continues to shape a brighter future for youth and young people in Sierra Leone and beyond.

Mrs. Josephine C. Aruna is an enthusiastic, intelligent, and committed BA Accounting and Finance graduate with over 15 years of experience and practical knowledge in accountancy and finance procedures. She is a part-qualified ACCA member with extensive experience in the charity and voluntary sector, driven by a passion for creating social value and making a positive impact on individuals and the community.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Aruna has volunteered and worked with notable organisations, including St Mungo’s, where she focused on providing housing solutions for the homeless while addressing mental health challenges and other related issues. She also offered individual and group teaching support to young people, helping them develop essential skills, including functional skills. Additionally, she worked with The Alan Turing Institute, an AI and Data Science institute, contributing to research aimed at resolving social issues in education, housing, healthcare, and more.
As the Founder and Chairperson of Youth Empowerment Community Scheme (YECS), Mrs. Aruna is dedicated to supporting, motivating, and empowering young people from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds in the UK. Through YECS, she has also extended charitable support to communities in Freetown, Sierra Leone, via GYNED. She is passionate about mentoring young adults, including those facing mental health challenges, has worked with clients in both the US and UK, and is committed to fostering personal development and self-confidence among young people. YECS focuses on helping individuals acquire essential skills for employment, business, and academic advancement.
In addition to her leadership roles, Mrs. Aruna serves as the Financial Secretary/Treasurer and a signatory on the executive body of St. Andrew’s School alumni association. She is also an entrepreneur with a keen interest in encouraging young people to explore business ventures, enjoying the challenge of working proactively in complex environments. Other qualifications achieved by her include the PTTLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) Level 3 – City & Guilds Award and certification as a Mental Health First Aider through MHFA England.
Mrs. Aruna enjoys singing, is an active member of her church choir, and currently sings with the ‘Voice of Hope choir’. She love watching/analyzing different movies and TV shows and taking a stroll. She is passionate about supporting others in various program management roles and continues to dedicate her life to uplifting and empowering those around her.

Mrs. Jemilatu Jalloh is a versatile and distinguished young Sierra Leonean female youth activist and Agripreneur. She currently serves as the Youth Empowerment Officer of the National Youth Commission – NAYCOM, and doubles as the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Jems Agro, a female-led agricultural business initiative in Sierra Leone.
She is an accomplished youth development and empowerment champion and pioneer, who through her hard work and service to humanity, has transformed, touched, and empowered lots of young people across Sierra Leone and beyond. She is currently engaged in advocating for the empowerment of rural women in agriculture, and a campaigner for “Value for HER”
Mrs. Jemilatu Jalloh is a graduate with a B.Sc. in Logistics & Procurement from the Institute of Advanced Management & Technology – IAMTECH and has undertaken a series of postgraduate and professional training in community development studies, gender, and entrepreneurship together (GET AHEAD), dairy products processing and promotion techniques in Senegal, volunteer programme development and management at Cape Coast University in GHANA and on youth in agriculture capacity building in Benin.

Mr. Abubakarr Bangura has made significant strides in promoting inclusive development, human rights, and policy reforms that benefit the disabled community across the country and the continent.
Born and raised in Sierra Leone, his personal journey is deeply intertwined with the challenges and triumphs of living with a disability in a developing nation.
From a young age, he was acutely aware of the societal barriers that limited opportunities for persons with disabilities.
Despite these challenges, he demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination to not only advocate for himself but for others facing similar situation and obstacles.
Growing up, he was deeply inspired by community leaders and social justice movements that emphasized equity and inclusion. This inspiration fueled his desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of disabled youth across Africa, motivating him to become an outstanding voice and leader in disability rights advocacy.
He pursued education with a passion for social justice and inclusion. He worked diligently through his schooling, where he developed strong skills in leadership, communication, and public engagement.
Understanding the importance of education for empowerment, he consistently advocated for access to quality education for young people with disabilities, both in his community and nationally.
His academic journey led him to focus on issues of disability rights, inclusion policies, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. Over the years, he became well-versed in the intersectionality of youth issues, disability rights, and economic empowerment, positioning himself as an expert and leader in these areas.
As the Country Representative for the African Youth with Disability Network (AYWDN) in Sierra Leone. Mr. Abubakarr Bangura spearheads initiatives that promote the inclusion of young people with disabilities in all spheres of life. The AYWDN is a continental network that advocates for the rights of disabled youth, ensuring that their voices are represented in policy-making processes, development initiatives, and community programs.
In his role, Abubakarr is responsible for leading advocacy campaigns for disability rights and inclusion, coordinating with government bodies, international organizations, and civil society to promote policies that improve the livelihoods of disabled youth, organizing capacity-building programs to equip young people with disabilities with skills for education, employment, and entrepreneurship, creating awareness campaigns to combat stigma and discrimination against persons with disabilities, strengthening partnerships with local and international organizations to further disability-inclusive development agendas.
Under his leadership, the AYWDN in Sierra Leone has seen an expansion of its outreach and advocacy efforts, ensuring that more young people with disabilities are integrated into national agenda and discussions on youth empowerment, social inclusion, and economic growth.
In Policy Advocacy, Mr. Abubakarr Bangura has played a pivotal role in influencing government policies that promote disability rights, particularly those that seek to ensure that disabled youth have access to education, healthcare, and employment.
In Capacity Building, he has led numerous training programs and workshops that provide disabled youth with the tools and skills necessary to become active participants in their communities and the workforce. These efforts have focused on entrepreneurship, vocational skills training, and leadership development.
In Inclusive Development, through his work, Mr. Bangura has fostered partnerships with both local and international organizations to ensure that development programs in Sierra Leone are inclusive of persons with disabilities.
He has worked with international donors to secure funding for disability-inclusive programs, ensuring that disabled youth have access to opportunities for growth and success.
In Awareness and Advocacy Campaigns, Mr. Abubakarr Bangura has organized several public outreach campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the challenges faced by people with disabilities. These campaigns have focused on changing public perceptions and advocating for greater societal acceptance of persons with disabilities.
Overall, Mr. Abubakarr Bangura envisions a Sierra Leone and an Africa where persons with disabilities are fully integrated into society, free from stigma and barriers to opportunity.

Her educational qualifications, including a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Sierra Leone – Fourah Bay College, have equipped her with a strong foundation in multimedia storytelling and intercultural communication.
With hands-on experience in various communication roles, Alvian has demonstrated her expertise in media relations, content creation, and strategic communication. Her tenure as a Reporter with Freetown Television Network involved covering impactful human interest stories, editing content, and voicing advertisements. As a Communication Officer at Global Youth Network, she excelled in moderating high-profile forums, representing the organization in media engagements, and leading youth-focused initiatives.
Currently serving as a Content Editor at Leone Rock Metal Group, Alvian has refined her skills in content proofreading, data analysis, and reader engagement. Her role involves designing content for newsletters, responding to media inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy and appeal of online materials.
In addition to her professional experience, Alvian actively contributes to community development through her roles in various volunteer organizations. As Coordinator for Media Initiative for Women and Girls Empowerment, she has successfully established and nurtured girls’ networks in schools. Her leadership roles in the National Youth Consortium and Centre for Academic Excellence and Research reflect her commitment to youth policy development and educational research.

Mohamed attended the KDC Primary Schools in Masimera Kawula and Kambia town respectively. He went on to attend the Kolenten Junior Secondary School and the Bullom Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School, were he served as Class prefect and later Senior School prefect.
Mohamed acquired a series of diploma certificates before enrolling for his BSc. (Hons) in Business Information Technology at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in 2019. In 2012, he attended the Ishaak Muckson Innovative Technology Training Centre and attained a Diploma in Microsoft application package, and in 2014, he enrolled at the African Information Technology Holdings, and attained a Professional Diploma in PC Hardware Engineering and in Networking Management and Administration respectively. He further enrolled to study Computer Science at the Canadian College of Modern Technology, where he sat to the NCTVA exams in 2017 and emerged as the best student and graduated with a Diploma in Computer Science.
He successfully gone through a one year Graduate Entrepreneurship Training Programme that was implemented by the National Youth Commission funded by the ADB, participated in the Tonny Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Training Course, and the Green Job for Rural Youth Project Entrepreneurship Training Course by FAO, and also participated at the Human Trafficking in Person Training by IOM. He has also attended series of youth conferences and summits such as, the Sierra Leone Youth Leadership Summit, Sustainable Development Goal (SGDs) Freetown Summit, Sierra Leone 1st National Youth Summit organized and sponsored by the UN Country Team, and the ECOSOC Youth Forum to name but a few.
He started volunteering his service at an early age with the Childrens Forum Network and with many other community-based organizations across the country. He has strong passion and interest for the development and promotion of agriculture, education, entrepreneurship, youth employment, environmental protection, and has initiated and led various projects on the same. Frederick has worked as a volunteer Teacher in the Mama Beach Senior Secondary School which has helped him develop various skills relevant to the youth involved in event planning and community engagement. Currently, she is furthering her education in Human Resource Management at the University of Makeni, gaining specialized knowledge in managing and developing organizational talent.
Messie has honed her communication skills and project management abilities through significant experience working in various sectors. She has worked with organizations such as Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) , where she continues to develop her global perspective and commitment to community development and social justice, Defence for Children International in Makeni, Alemobet Innovations in Makeni and the Women’s Forum for Human Rights and Democracy in Makeni, where she contributed to advocacy and development initiatives. Additionally, her experience at Rokel Commercial Bank Makeni enriched her understanding of the financial sector and customer service. A driven young lady from Sierra Leone, Hellenoh Naomi Kamara is ready to study, unlearn, relearn, and get feedback. She is passionate about supporting and empowering young people, especially women, girls, and persons with disabilities, and is presently volunteering with the Global Youth Network for Empowerment and Development.
Hellenoh is a graduate with Bachelor of Science in Development Studies at the University of Makeni (UNIMAK). She is a professional social worker and development practitioner, utilizing her skills to help young people seize opportunities and reach their fullest potential.
Hellenoh has internship and volunteer experience at Connaught Hospital in the Psychosocial and Counseling Department. During her time there, she helped organize meetings with self-help groups and raised awareness about mental health in schools. She also participated in daily ward rounds to assess patient progress and treatment needs.
Additionally, Hellenoh has internship experience at the Sierra Leone Network on the Right to Food (SiLNoRF). She was actively involved in various activities and training sessions, where she assisted in training women to use the Action Behaviors Centre (ABC). She played a key role in handing over the ABC centers to the community and attended staff meetings, writing reports on the proceedings.
